Below, I list some of the classes I offer. If you don't see it here, just ask! Send me an email, call or write.

UPCOMING! Beginning in June, I will be offering group classes in the East Greenwich area and the Newport Area. Please contact me for schedule, and check here for more info in the NEAR future.

Birthing Classes: Group classes with up to six couples. Six sessions. Discussing sociological/anthropological, scientific, spiritual and physical aspects of birth. Includes choosing a practitioner, visualization practice, creating intimacy in preganacy, creating a BIRTH PLAN, coping methods, information on hospital practices, tests, etc., and newborn care.

Private Classes: In your home, same as above. Some couples prefer this because of the great intimacy of pregnancy and birth, and find it more comfortable to ask ALL the questions they want/need to in a private, comfortable setting.

Birth Plan Class: For those who need to create or tweak a birth plan, individual and group classes offered, individual attention given. Also used as a 'refresher' for those with some 'experience.'

Childbirth Education is not a substitute for early, regular prenatal care under the observation of a midwife, ob/gyn, or GP.

COST AND VALUE: Childbirth education is an investment. It is a vital part of creating your child's first impression of life outside the womb. My class is less about IVs and Medication (although I definitely discuss these things at length), and more about understanding birth as a natural, normal part of life. I do not claim to give you a pain-free birth, as I believe that is up to you to create or decide. In order for that to happen, I dedicate this class to a deeper understanding of all aspects of birth, and give each discussion the time it deserves, that YOU deserve. With that in mind, the classes, though informal in many aspects, are a commitment unto themselves.
